The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri and the Federal Public Defender Offices of the Eastern District of Missouri and the Southern District of Illinois are pleased to announce the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Seminar to be held Thursday, May 14, 2026, at the Thomas F. Eagleton Courthouse. Attendance at this training is mandatory for CJA Panel and Mentee Panel Attorneys. Other attorneys who practice in the field of federal criminal law are invited and registration will be accepted as space allows after all CJA Panel, Mentee Panel, and Federal Public Defender slots are filled.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. with welcome remarks to begin at 9:00 a.m. Please arrive timely to avoid any delay or disruption in the program. There is no cost to attend this seminar, and lunch will be provided to pre-registered attorneys.
