In the event of a federal government shutdown, the United States District Court - Eastern Missouri will be open for business as usual on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. The Clerk's Office will post additional information regarding operations as we obtain further directions from the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

Since the Court's operations will not be interrupted, filing dates remain in effect. Any party seeking an extension of a deadline due to the shutdown must file a motion to continue, in compliance with all applicable rules, and all applicable orders of the Court.
