The Office of Public Education & Community Outreach offers assistance and programs for local Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
Boy Scouts
Citizenship in the Nation Merit Badge Skill Centers: Earn your Merit Badge by participating in a full-day workshop and completing pre-requisite activities.
Merit Badge Counselors: Counselors for Citizenship in the Nation and Citizenship in the World are available for appointments at the Eagleton Courthouse in St. Louis. Scouts must attend with a parent or other adult, and must schedule appointments in advance by calling (314)244-2410.
Citizenship in the Nation Requirements: Self-guided activities are available to help Scouts meet certain Citizenship in the Nation requirements. The activities are recommended for First Class and above. Scouts can print these activities in advance, and visit the Eagleton Courthouse during regular business hours. Scouts must visit with a parent or other adult, but no appointment is needed. To earn the Merit Badge, Scouts will need to go over what they learned with their Merit Badge Counselor.
