The Court seeks a Career Law Clerk to United States District Judge John A. Ross. This clerkship begins in February of 2023 and, at the Judge’s discretion, may continue without a limit on the length of time the position is held (contrary to a term clerkship, which may range from one to four years only). The clerkship is located in St. Louis, MO.

Principal duties of the position include:

• Research substantive issues of federal and state law
• Draft legal memoranda, opinions, and orders
• Prepare the Judge for hearings, trials, and other proceedings
• Assist the Judge with case management
• Generally provide legal counsel and support to the Judges
• Exhibit the highest standards of excellence and integrity
