Trial in Moore et al. v. Ferguson Police Department et al., case # 4:14-CV-1443-SNLJ, Set to Begin

The trial in Moore v. Ferguson (4:14-CV-1443-SNLJ; consolidated with 4:14-CV-1447) is set to begin Monday October 31, in the 3rd floor north courtroom at the Thomas F. Eagleton Courthouse, with jury selection at 1:30 pm. Plaintiffs, including the estate of Jason Moore (deceased), are alleging that a City of Ferguson police officer used excessive force when using a taser on the Plaintiff, and that this officer's actions resulted in the wrongful death of Mr. Moore. The City of Ferguson and its former Chief of Police are also named as Defendants. It is anticipated, but not certain, that the trial will last a week.
